City of Gold Coast is a free Android app that helps residents in the area manage their waste and recycling. The app allows you to add your property address to see your bin collection schedule, set reminders to put out your bins, and add a favourite if you have more than one address. You can also add the bin day widget to your home screen and delete bin addresses when you move.
In addition to waste management, the app also allows you to find your nearest waste and recycling centre and filter results based on the waste types you have to dispose. You can use the Recyclepedia for disposal guidance for common waste items. The app also lets you report issues like graffiti, potholes, abandoned vehicles, illegal parking, and shopping trolleys. You can drop a pin anywhere to locate a problem, add a photo to automatically identify the problem location, and add your details in case the council needs to contact you. Your details are saved in the app for future use.
